Lineage from Dr Usui to Liz & Brian ... Most Reiki practitioners are aware of their lineage from Dr Mikao Usui, the re-discoverer of Reiki, who lived at the turn of the 19th/20th Centuries. Much has been written about his work, and there would be little point in repeating it here. If you are interested in researching the history of Reiki (insofar as it is known), we can recommend the book 'Reiki Fire' (Paperback, ISBN 0-914955-50-0) , by Frank Arjava Petter, a German scholar currently living in Japan.
