STOP PRESS
WORKSHOP - ROMANCING THE SELF
5th April 2008
at
"2-n-able Wellness", Stourport-on-Severn
| Most of us know on some
level, that in order to love another we have first got to be able to
love ourselves and, although we can logically understand the concept of
learning to love the self, few of us actually practice the art of loving
ourselves first. You are a very precious person - you deserve this!
This workshop explores these challenges and offers a range of techniques to help identify needs, separate them from wants and develop ways of truly giving to ourselves in order that we may blossom and grow abundantly. An uplifting and creative way for those who wish to build their self esteem and confidence, or for those working in the helping /caring professions. You will leave the day with a specific set of tools and practices to use immediately on yourself or your clients (why not both?).

I run a number of workshops which can be adapted and used either as "stand alone" sessions within other workshop presentations, lasting between 1 and 2 hours or I can run 1 - 2 day workshops as required. Although I run these from my home in the Costa del Sol, in Spain, if there is a group of friends who would like to participate in these workshops at a venue nearer to them I am happy to travel. These workshops run extremely well at retreat centres, from individual homes and also help businesses to improve staff performance (as well as demonstrating your commitment as a "boss" to the ongoing welfare and development of the people who make your business successful.) I aim to make each workshops as interactive and as much fun as possible, although the core principle is that each participant has the opportunity to look "within" to understand themselves better, know themselves better and to love themselves more. They are not for the faint hearted - they will challenge you to KNOW yourself so much better....and in order to help to achieve this the maximum group size is 12 people. The workshops that I currently run are as follows:
A little taster of these workshops: Stop Smoking Now "Hypnosis is the most effective way of giving up smoking" (New Scientist vol 136 issue 1845, October '92, page 6) Although I work with clients on an individual basis to stop smoking, I find that some people like to feel they also have the support of friends and colleagues, and therefore prefer to work in a group situation, and for this workshop I often travel to the group (the optimum number of participants is 6 people per workshop). The workshop lasts about 3 hours in total, and each individual will receive a CD valued at 15 euros for personal use at home. Hypnotherapy works to stop you smoking by eliminating the unconscious triggers that keep you smoking. Whilst being in a hypnotic state where you are deeply relaxed, your existing patterns of thinking about smoking, and your urge to light up and smoke can be replaced by a pattern of not thinking, not wanting, not smoking. For more information about STOP SMOKING NOW workshops, please give me a call.Beyond your Wildest Dreams "Believe in yourself. You gain strength, courage and confidence by every experience in which you look fear in the face ...you must do that which you think you cannot do." Eleanor Roosevelt This workshop concentrates on your belief system and on self awareness/self esteem/self expression and self acceptance. Learn who you really are and be proud of who you really are. We all tend to limit ourselves with our own view of what we can achieve and so we set a "glass ceiling", and miss out on so much in life. Think positively, and increase your self confidence. This workshop is broken into 5 component parts : The Power of the mind, and the
power of thought
This is a 1 day workshop from 9.30am - 5.30pm.
A Weight off your mind "If you want to find the big answers to the big questions about your soul, youŽd best begin with the little answers about your body" George Sheehan Whatever your body shape or size how many people wish they were "somehow different?" How often do we wish that our bums were smaller, our boobs were bigger, our tummies flatter??????? Whatever it is that makes you feel less than satisfied with the body you have, this workshop is designed to help you. The aim of this very interactive workshop is to present an innovative and advanced approach to body image and self perception and to help you feel really good about yourself, gaining loads more self confidence, as well as helping you to lose weight. However, this is not a slimming group - no scales are used!
This is either a 1 day workshop (from 9.30am - 5.30pm) or a course of 4 evenings (7pm - 9pm) Love, Sex & Relationships (Love of another or self, or the lack of it, lies at the root of almost any problem you can mention. It has been said that there are only 2 core emotions - love, and its opposite, fear) Relationship skills and the art of
loving This is either a 1 day workshop (from 9.30am - 5.30pm) or a course of 4 evenings (7pm - 9pm). Romancing the Self "How can you hesitate? Risk! Risk anything! Care no more for the opinion of others, for those voices. Do the hardest thing on earth for you. Act for yourself" Katherine Mansfield (1888 - 1923)
This workshop runs over 4 evenings, which are evenings of self nurturing and relaxation. This time is just for you to explore your victories, to explore the art of loving and to discover how to date yourself. You are very precious and you deserve this! This is a course of 4 evenings (7pm - 9pm) Living Life on Purpose "Our lives are not determined by what happens to us, but how we react to what happens to us, by the attitude we bring to life. A positive attitude causes a chain reaction of positive thoughts, events and outcomes. It is a catalyst......a spark that creates extraordinary results." Anon Living life on purpose is about committing to yourself, understanding your limiting beliefs, and exploring the impact of your behaviour on yourself and other people. This is a 1 day workshop (normally from 9.30am - 5.30pm). ---------------------------------------------- .....................................so in summary, this should give you an overview of my workshops. I hope this has whetted your appetite somewhat. If you require more information, or details of dates please contact me. If you wish to involve me in designing something specifically for your group workshop I am happy to discuss content and prices with you. |

About Me By now you may be asking yourself why you would chose to see me to help you to deal with sensitive areas in your life, so let me tell you a little bit about myself, and you can decide for yourself. One of the most important things about our relationship is that we are able to work together and trust each other. It is important that you know that everything that is discussed between us is treated with absolute confidentiality. I am bound by a strict Ethical Code of Conduct, being an Associate Member of the British Society of Clinical Hypnosis. I started my working life training as a State Registered Nurse at the Royal Masonic Hospital, in London, and I qualified in 1973. Part of my training covered psychiatric nursing at Longrove Hospital in Surrey. Following my registration, I gained nursing experience in gynecology, cardiology and geriatric nursing. After a few years working in both the National Health Service and the private sector, I moved into the pharmaceutical industry, working initially as a representative, then moving into management. I worked for about 17 years in that industry, 10 of which were in management positions. During these years I attended many training courses which included coaching skills, presentation skills, leadership skills and personal development. I also delivered very many presentations and training courses to various size groups. Consequently I am comfortable working with individuals as well as very large groups of people. In 2002 I enrolled with the London College of Clinical Hypnotherapy (LCCH) and have completed the Certificate, Diploma and Practitioner (post graduate training) courses and exams, and am a registered supervisor for the LCCH.. Unlike some other training courses on Hypnosis, the training provided by the LCCH involved attending lectures, tutorials and completing practical work over a period of about 24 months. In addition, as part of my ongoing professional training, I have completed Master classes which have covered issues concerning weight control, positive thinking, improving self esteem, improved performance, looking after and romancing the self. I see my ongoing professional training as vital to keep me abreast of learning new skills and increasing my knowledge in this fascinating area. I enjoy working closely with people, and my guiding principles are honesty and integrity. I adopt a holistic mind, body and spirit approach to my therapies.
